Spy Alley Description

Deceptively simple and surprisingly intense, Spy Alley keeps you on the edge of your seat. Players become a spy for their given country and try to uncover their opponents’ identity while keeping their own identity a secret. Players use deductive reasoning to expose other spies while attempting to complete their mission by obtaining code books, disguises, keys, and passwords.

Our Family Reviews of The Game

We lovingly call our family gaming quartet The Core Four. We believe a family that plays together stays together. Our game closet is overflowing, and we're here to share our favorite finds with you. This is our family rating system for games!

5-Star Game Rating System ★

5 ★★★★★ — I love this game and am always excited to play.
4 ★★★★— I like it! When do we play again?
3 ★★★— Meh. It's ok.
2 ★★— You're gonna have to talk me into it.
1 ★— I never want play this stinking game again. Let's get rid of it.

Here are our Spy Alley board game reviews and each family member's thoughts about the game.

GAMER DAD — ★★★★
We really enjoy playing the Spy Alley board game with the grandparents. Everyone is a spy, but who's who? You have to purchase items specifically for your spy in front of everyone without them figuring out which spy you are. Easy to learn and a fairly quick play.

RELUCTANT GAMER MOM — ★★★
There is one thing I particularly love about the Spy Alley board game — it teaches kids how to lose. There is an option to guess the spy at multiple points in the game without repercussions and there have been times where one of the kids was guessed-out of the game within the first five minutes of play.

The immediate response, when booted in the first few minutes of the game, is, "Hey, no fair." Unfortunately, Spy Alley and LIFE are randomly unfair, so it is a great learning opportunity. It is an opportunity to grab snacks or do to a quick chore, as you wait for a rematch!

All that being said, it is not my personal favorite. I'd rather play something else.

GAMER DAUGHTER 1 — ★★★★
Spy alley is a perfect board game to play with Nana (AKA: Ms. Money Bags) & Papa ("TWO!"). It's super simple and easy to learn.

GAMER DAUGHTER 2 — ★★★★
Spy Alley is a fun game that is different every time. I like to be the Russian spy so I can speak in an accent while we play.

GAMER CAT — ★★★★★
Lots of pieces I can knock over when I jump onto the table.
