The BANG! card game quickly became a family favorite. While it is fun with four people, it is best enjoyed with a bigger group. It is perfect for extended family game nights or a big group of friends!
Let's start with a quick overview of BANG!
BANG! Card Game Description
In the wild west of the game BANG!, the Outlaws hunt the Sheriff, the sheriff hunts the outlaws, and the Renegade plots in secret — ready to join one side or the other? Before long, bullets start to fly! Which gunmen are deputies, ready to sacrifice themselves for the Sheriff? And which are the merciless Outlaws, looking to gun him down?
How To Play The BANG! Card Game
The card game BANG! recreates an old-fashioned spaghetti western shoot-out. Each player randomly receiving a character card to determine special abilities and a role card to determine their goal. The catch? A player's role is kept secret, except for the Sheriff.
There are a variety of different types of cards in the draw deck, but most common is the BANG! card. These let you shoot at another player, assuming the target is within "range" of your current gun. (source)

Here are our BANG! reviews and each family member's thoughts about the card game.
GAMER DAD — ★★★★
I dig the card game BANG! The more the merrier for this game. If you have at least five players, that's ideal and incorporates all the characters.
RELUCTANT GAMER MOM — ★★★★
One of our favorite gaming friends, DORK DAD, brought this card game for our family to experiment. He assured us it was his nephews' absolutely favorite family game, so we gave it a try.
When I saw the complexity of the cards, I admit, I excused myself from the table to freshen up the snack trays. Reluctantly, I tried this "what I thought was complex" game.
While there are many different types of cards, the use and purpose of each and every one is explained on the card itself, making the whole experience pretty digestible after you get past that first bumpy round.
We love "Core Four" family night when it is just our immediate family. However, we found that even though you *can* play BANG! with only four people, it is a lot more fun with five to seven!
GAMER DAUGHTER — ★★★★
I like it! It was kind of hard to learn because there are so many cards you have to understand, but it is really fun in the end. Here's a short video of our family playing the BANG! card game.
DORK DAD — ★★★★ (GUEST REVIEW)
BANG! is a card game that simulates a spaghetti western shootout. You play the role of either sheriff, deputy, outlaw, or renegade. Hide behind a barrel and shoot your enemy with your Winchester. Oh my gosh, somebody just lit the dynamite! Play this game and it won’t be long before you are shouting “draw your guns” in your best western drawl.
Just like the original Clint Eastwood movies, the game is made in Italy, which explains why the card descriptions are written in Italian. This makes the learning curve a little steep for an otherwise simple game. Lots of fun though.
