Winter is coming. Soon snowflakes will be falling, hot cocoa will be the drink of choice, and you'll be humming Christmas carols under your breath while doing laundry.
Below are 100 winter + holiday books for kids recommended from everyday moms. See the collection of titles.
Take a moment today to reserve some new books from your local library!
Did you know that most libraries offer the opportunity to reserve books online?
Pop on over to your local library site and look for an online catalog. What does this mean for you? A hassle free trip with the kids. You simply go to check out and they've got all your requested titles rounded up for you!
Quick LIBRARY Reservation Tip:
When I would search by title for books on my library site, I'd often have a hard time finding things. My librarian suggested searching by ISBN number instead. Each book has a unique ISBN number and many libraries catalog using this information. You can find this information on Amazon by scrolling down to the "Product Description" section. Don't see it? Click here for visual instructions.
One of my personal holiday favorites is Christmas Cookies by Amy Krouse Rosenthal. I am a big fan of her work. As you can tell from this Little Pea video, we've read a her books over and over (and over) again. Have you read her original Cookies book? This is how Amazon describes it:
Cookies: Bite-Size Life Lessons is a new kind of dictionary, one that defines mysteries such as "fair" and "unfair" and what it really means to "cooperate." The book is by turns clever, honest, inspirational, and whimsical.
I couldn't have said it better myself, both versions are "whimsical" and the illustrations are lovely. The holiday version includes words like: moderation, charitable, prosperity, perseverance, and reciprocate. Click here to look inside the holiday book and to view the original.
