Back-to-School Shopping Tradition

Published: Aug 6, 2016 · Modified: Mar 10, 2017 by Zina Harrington · Post may contain affiliate links

Every year, the girls and I drive for an hour to Fox River Mall for Back-to-School shopping. The girls "do their thing" and I patiently wait as they try on 101 different outfits.

My favorite part of the day is AFTER the shopping is done. We head over to The Melting Pot for a long, very sloooOOOooow celebratory lunch.

Back-to-School Shopping Tradition *Love this idea

Now I admit, The Melting Pot is a bit pricey for doing a casual lunch with the kids. However, there is something about eating together there with just us girls that is magical. I get to hear about what the girls are excited about in the coming year, if they're nervous about the first day of school, what they want to wear, as well as, details about their favorite summer adventures. The slow pace of the restaurant opens the door to so much!

Do you have a special Back-to-School shopping tradition? I'd love to hear about them in the comments.
