Learn how to make these cute watermelon wind spinners as a video tutorial or get step-by-step instructions below!
Step 1: Paint one side of the paper plate red. Let it dry.
Step 2: Paint the opposite side of the paper plate green. Eat watermelon while you're waiting for the paint to fully dry.
Step 3: Add seeds (aka: black polka dots) to the red side of the plate. Let it dry.
Step 4: Cut a spiral line from the outer edge and work toward the center.
Step 5: Add twine, hang and enjoy!
Note: For longterm use, showcase them inside away from potential rain.
We hung our watermelon wind spinners up next to the flag and our patriotic spiral spinners for the afternoon. They look great dangling from trees too!
