October is a wonderful time to celebrate magic, mummies, monsters and more...

this post contains affiliate links - thanks for supporting usToday's collection of kids crafts, projects, and activities is inspired by the classic stories: The Monster At The End of This Book by Jon Stone, The BFG by Roald Dahl, and (surprisingly) Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. This playful theme is sure to excite your little monster as we head into autumn.

Earlier this month, I was taken back by this lovely quote...

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.” ― Roald Dahl

I saw this inspiring quote and had to take an Instagram of the art piece which featured it.

It got me thinking. I realized one of my favorite things about being a parent is that our children help us re-discover magic we've grown to overlook.

And my friends, October is a wonderful time to celebrate magic, mummies, monsters and more ...

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Earlier this month I asked people on Facebook to share "Five books that have always stuck with you." One friend mentioned Anne of Green Gables and it made me smile. This post is dedicated to her.

My daughter and I are reading The BFG by Roald Dahl and just loving it. We are constantly giggling as we fumble through the made-up words the giant uses. There are so many wonderful children's books out there. Click the image below to browse through some great monster titles.
