Reading Harry Potter with your kids allows you to enter a magical world together. You can easily take the adventure off the pages and into your kitchen.
Below are 5 playful Harry Potter snacks for your little witch or wizard!
1. Chocolate Covered Pretzel Wizard Wands
Simply dip pretzel rods in melted Ghirardelli Chocolate. We decorated with sprinkles, too!
2. Edible Sorcerer's Stones
We love this recipe for No-Bake Energy Bites from Gimme Some Oven. They are a perfect semi-healthy snack for breakfast or dessert! We decided to roll them a bit larger than usual (into a stone size) and cover them with the remaining chocolate from the wands.
3. Homemade Butter Beer
This is a must-try recipe: ice cream, butterscotch, and cream soda combined with a little magic. Get the full recipe here. YUM.
4. Bertie Botts Every Flavour Jelly Beans
Of course, you need Harry Potter Bertie Botts Every Flavour Jelly Beans! You can find them at many local candy stores or on Amazon. Check out some of the flavors...
We started out just trying random flavors from the box.
Jelly Belly also offers Bean Boozled Jelly Beans with a Spinner Wheel Game that we decided to play.
THAT elicited curiosity, fear, anxiety, confusion, laughter and a few double-dog dares.
5. Potions Lab MUST: Edible Dragon's Blood
We created a lemonade potions lab and one of the most coveted ingredients was dragon's blood (aka strawberry syrup). Get the full recipe, as well as tips for creating a potions lab here.
