The holiday season is just hiding around the corner. My kids love to MAKE gifts. This is a desire I want to continue to encourage as my girls get older. I want them to learn...
“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
― Mother Teresa

ADDITIONAL INSPIRATION:
One of my favorite ways to say "love you" is to put together a personalized photo book. Now I am going to admit, I am a bit of a control freak when it comes to my projects. Can you relate? I like to hem and haw over which photos to include and how to place them into the template.
Even if you are a perfectionist, I highly encourage you to have your child create a photo book with you this holiday season. Here's how to make it beautiful and collaborative...
Create a folder with "more than enough" photos to fill your book. Then sit down with your little one and go through the pics asking which images they prefer. It is a wonderful way to bring back memories and connect with your children. Later, when the book arrives, look through it together and thank your kids for their help. Then when you give the gift to grandparents (or anyone special) they will feel ownership, too.
There are so many adorable photo album styles to choose from: family, holidays, year in review, baby, life story and more. We love making photo books and personalized calendars for my mother-in-law. The girls and I have also had fun making books for Dad, too.
The classic "Box of Love" is one of my favorite SIMPLE gifts. Here is the poem that accompanies it...
This is a very special gift that you can never see. The reason it’s so special is, it’s just for you from me. Whenever you are happy or even feeling blue. You only have to hold this gift and know I think of you. You never can unwrap it. Please leave the ribbon tied. Just hold the box close to your heart. It’s filled with love inside.
