Dixit is a short game rooted in creative thinking. The age range is 8 and up, but we've found this is a fun game to play with young kids if you team-up. It is easy to learn and never loses its luster.
The game is almost a visual-based version of the classic Apples To Apples, but don't tell Gamer Dad I said that... he adores Dixit and despises the other. What I particularly love about this game is the insight it provides into my kids' thoughts.
The best part of this game is you can always keep it fresh with expansion packs. We love adding new art into the experience. We've found this to be a great multi-generational game. In other words, it is great for kids to enjoy with younger siblings, but it is also fun to play with grandparents. I highly recommend it!

Every card in Dixit is a mini work of art. When you open the game, you’ll find yourself admiring their abstract beauty. I think most will agree, the game is gorgeous.
The active player draws a card and gives a short description of it. All other players pick a card from their hands matching that description. The cards are collected, shuffled, and placed face up. Everyone votes which card best matches the description. Points are given based on who wins the votes or guesses the correct card.
It’s super easy to learn, and the cards are, as I said, very pretty to look at. Over time, you’ll run out of descriptions for the cards. Luckily, there are lots of expansion packs available for purchase.
