How To Make The Casserole Base
This cheesy-ranch chicken biscuit casserole is so simple, you'll only need to read the instructions once!
Step 1: Pull the chicken from the bone
You can quickly pull meat from the rotisserie chicken using a fork.
Step 2: Cut the chicken meat into bite-sized chunks.
You can easily cube or shred the chicken into smaller chunks with a standard kitchen knife.
This ensures each bite of the chicken biscuit casserole has a bite of meat in it!
Step 3: Mix together the base casserole ingredients.
In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cream soup, sour cream, ranch mix, and one cup of the cheese.
Reserve the other cup of cheese to put on top!
How to Divide the Refrigerated Biscuits
Step 1: Pop the container
We use a container of eight butter Southern Homestyle Grands when making this recipe.
We've only made this chicken biscuit recipe with pre-made refrigerated biscuits.
Step 2: Divide each biscuit into fourths.
Press and gently divide each of the biscuits into four wedge pieces.
Step 3: Reserve half.
Reserve half of the biscuit chunks to fold into the casserole and save the other half to put on top.
How To Assemble And Bake The Casserole
Step 1: Fold half the biscuits into the casserole mix.
In a large bow, gently fold in 16 biscuit wedges (4 biscuits divided into 4) into the chicken, soup, sour cream, ranch and cheese mixture.

Step 5: Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Bake the cheesy-ranch chicken casserole in the preheated oven (350 degrees) for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the biscuits are golden brown.
Recipe FAQs
Can I substitute boxed biscuits for the pre-made refrigerator biscuits?
This recipe is best made with refrigerator biscuits. If you do use boxed biscuits (like Bisquick) in a pinch, skip folding balls of dough into the casserole mixture. Simply bake small balls of dough on the top only!
Is this cheesy-ranch chicken casserole sometimes called "bubble biscuit casserole"?
Chicken biscuit casseroles are sometimes referred to as "bubble biscuit casserole" because of the odd shapes the biscuits wedges rise up to make. Use the name bubble biscuit casserole to make this recipe more enticing to your kids!
Can you tell me about the texture of the cooked biscuit within the casserole?
The biscuit pieces cooked within this chicken casserole remind me a bit of soft dumplings you'll sometimes find in cream of chicken soup. If you prefer golden brown biscuits instead, use all the wedges on the top of the casserole!
