Run, run, fast as you can! See the best from Pinterest below, if you're a gingerbread fan.
I'd ask my daughter, "Again? Are you sure?" When she was a preschooler, she was obsessed with The Gingerbread Man after doing a project at Montessori. I loved when she'd sing "Run, run, fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!"
We had a version of the classic tale that was written by Jim Aylesworth and was illustrated by Barbara McClintock. I am a bit picky about books and I adore the illustrations.
Over time, my girls slowly outgrew this beautiful picture book. I recently donated it to a family friend. Their four-year-old daughter sat on my lap as I read the story. By the time we got to the fox, she was "reading" along with me, too. It made my heart melt. This post is dedicated to her.
Below are a few of my favorite gingerbread finds from the Growing Creative Kids collaborative Pinterest board.
