When the girls got home from school and saw THIS box sitting on the kitchen counter...
They went CRAZY.
They immediately grabbed the scissors to open the package...
Let me step back for a moment...
The lovely folks over at Budsies graciously gave our girls the opportunity to see their artwork come to life. They took off with their drawing pads and about an hour later returned with these crazy alien creators.
I admit, I was expecting something a bit more ...
rainbows and sunshine out of them.
I think the freedom to direct the design of WHATEVER stuffed animal they wished opened up their creativity.
The process for ordering our custom stuffy was super easy. I took photos of their drawings on my phone and was able to text the images to Budsies for production. How's that for simple?!? Check out other upload options and learn more about their process here.
This is what they sent to us in return:
I was just blown away by how COOL these little guys turned out. I think the girls were, too.

Dottie hasn't left Rose's side since she came out of the box.
What?!? Brushing teeth without a fuss?
An alien kidnapped my daughter...
Rachel sleeps with Quinn each night. As I tuck the girls in, I laugh at the name "Rachel" for this crazy beast. A rave review from my daughter Quinn...
Beyond snuggling Rachel each night, she also takes her on adventures throughout the day. They took both Dottie and Rachel on a trip to Nana's the other week. I smiled when I found they had gone for a little ride.
I do believe when our children grow up they will live in a world where imagination is more important than knowledge.
To imagine is everything, to know is nothing at all.
― Anatole France
I adore Budsie's ability to make a child's artwork into a tangible lovie. What a great way to inspire creativity.
I am also personally inspired by their local community involvement. They work with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern Pennsylvania to sponsor Budsies for children going through cancer treatment. They also sponsor art days for underprivileged kids in the community to receive personalized Budsies. Learn more about other ways they give back here.
