The Gift of 365 Ordinary Days

{What the heck is Project 365 anyhow?} It is the commitment to take a single photo every day for a full year. Many people start their project on a major holiday like New Years, Valentine’s Day, or Mother’s Day, but you can begin on any date. It is a wonderful way to improve your photography skills, get to know a friend, or document ordinary family moments. *Being a parent is NOT a prerequisite.

“I know I can’t make time slow down, can’t hold our life as it is in a freeze frame or slow my children’s inexorable journeys into adulthood and lives of their own. But I can celebrate those journeys by bearing witness to them, by paying attention, and, perhaps most of all, by carrying on with my own growth and becoming. ” {Katrina Kenison, The Gift of an Ordinary Day}

Let’s Lasso the Moon Tip: Take a moment to watch this author’s reading. I promise it is worth your time. You might want to grab some tissues.

Consider joining me in taking a photo a day to capture a year of your family’s history. Here are a few of my favorite “ordinary day” moments from a past Project 365.

PS: Are you thinking, “What the heck is Project 366 anyhow?”

It is the commitment to take a single photo every day for a full year. Many people start their project on a major holiday like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, but you can begin on any date. Some of my favorite photos from our past Project 365 came from a bachelor.

    The Pinterest group page says to send you a request via comment. Is that right? Sorry if it’s not. I’m a little slow when it comes to understanding directions. And there were a lot of directions to follow. :D
