My official disclosure: There is an alligator in the bushes and he’s calling my name.
Ok, ok, ok. Let’s get serious. I started this blog the fall my two daughters entered elementary school. We’ve managed to create an amazing community of parents here on the blog, on Facebook, and on Pinterest.
I take pride in the community we’ve built together.
Blogging is something I do on the side for inspiration, fun, and personal growth. I love having you along for the ride. I do still hold a day job. This allows me to hold my blog to a high standard; it is very easy for me to say “thanks, but no thanks to advertisers.”
In March of 2012 I was approached to become a Melissa & Doug Blog Ambassador. When I shared the news with my good friend Tiffany from Peanut Blossom she said, “Every Melissa & Doug toy in my house I’ve bought because you’ve recommended it. You’ve been an ambassador for years!” She said I’ve been their ambassador ever since the girls started serving wooden cookies. That sealed the deal in my mind.
Blogging is not a yellow brick road to wealth, but it has allowed me to take advantage of some amazing opportunities. For example, I got to tweet with Melissa, THE real life mom Melissa, from Melissa & Doug toys. How cool is that?!?
Why am I telling you all of this? I am thankful for our relationship and would never compromise it. I am lucky enough to be in a situation which allows me to work with companies, organization, or people that I truly believe are wonderful. I am happy to be able to bring you along for the ride.
Cheers my friends,
