{Enjoying reading too much to utilize the library toy room. Love it.}

On a scorching hot day the cool air conditioning of the library can feel a bit like heaven.
Don’t underestimate the power of a “field trip” to the library.

    LOVE this! My toddler & I actually escaped into the air conditioned library during our town celebration on Saturday. We emerged an hour later with 29 books. My husband didn’t know they allowed you to check out that many at a time! While my tot is busy reading Curious George, Lama Lama, Bunny Bungalow, and LIttle Blue Truck, I’m in the middle of “Gone Girl”by Gillian Flynn. Just finished “RAGBRAI; Everyone pronounces it wrong” about the nearly 40 year old bicycle ride across Iowa each summer.

    Always a great idea! Most libraries also have great free programs for kids in the summertime. Right now my 7-year-old is LOVING the Ivy and Bean series of chapter books, and my 5-yr-old adores Skippyjon Jones.
