Wine Corks | Let's Lasso the Moon

Let’s Lasso the Moon Tip:
Wine corks make excellent tub toys. Trust me, start a collection and your kids will thank you. They can:

  • count them
  • line them up or stack them
  • pretend they are people
  • pretend they are noodles in “bath tub soup”
  • dunk them and watch them float back up to the surface

I am telling you, endless & imaginative fun. A quick glance at my corks and you can see I am not a wine aficionado. However, this year my doctor recommended having a small glass in the evening. Mayo Clinic explains:

Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy. The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of “good” cholesterol and protecting against artery damage.

My theory? It can’t hurt to give it a try. Here’s to fun in the tub & a glass of wine for mom!

PS: Wine corks can be a choking hazard for small children, please use caution and common sense with your child in the tub.

Brilliant. I have a whole container full of them. I am so bringing them out at bath time tonight.

It’s so funny to see this blog post because our tub is filled with wine corks! My toddler loves playing with them. We also have a bunch of golf balls– they “hide” in the water and are also fun to play with.

I’ve never thought of golf balls! :-)

I let ours play with wine corks in a bowl of water outside. They try to grab them out of the bowl with thongs and it’s a lot of fun for them. I never thought of putting them in the bathtub but I bet that would be extra fun!
