Puddle jumpin’ weather is here! When the girls ask, “Can we jump in the puddle?”
I admit I have a strong, nagging, physical urge to say, “No, you’ll get dirty.”

Take a deep breath & go for it. Say, yes! I promise that “they are going to get SO dirty” feeling quickly dissipates as you hear your kids giggle and then laugh hysterically as they hop around. After watching this movie, our girls have also taken up dancing in puddles.
There are many awesome outdoor spring toys, but do you know what honestly gets the most use at our house during puddle season? The broom.
Yes, the broom! I call it the “giant puddle paint brush.” I guarantee it will keep your child entertained, but expect lots of splatters . Throw some chalk into the mix and {voila!} they’ll be engrossed. You’ll actually have time to sit, smile, and enjoy the moment.

Sometimes it feels like life passes in an Instgram. All of my shots today were taken on my iPhone as part of Project 366, where I attempt to capture the gift of an ordinary day. Would you like to join me in a photo a day? Perhaps starting on the vernal equinox? If you have questions, let’s chat in the comments.
Happy {almost} spring!

PS: If you are participating in Project 366 I’d love if you’d share your favorite photo from this week, your Pinterest collection, or your Flickr set below!
